Art

At Higham Ferrers Nursery and Infant School we aim to ensure that pupils develop enjoyment of the visual arts through rich practical experiences of art.  Children will experience a variety of media, materials, tools and techniques to develop their skills in drawing, painting and 3D work. 

Pupils will have opportunities to explore a broad range of art and artists from different times, places and cultures.  Children will work in different dimensions and scales to develop confidence and take pleasure in being able to express themselves through drawing, painting and creating. 

We aim to celebrate individual creativity and individuality through sharing and displaying a variety of children’s art.  In this way we hope to instil in our pupils a lifelong love of Art.
